One Mission. One Goal.
The BAE (Bay Area Enterprises) Initiative is a student-led organization that helps local businesses fight the effects of Covid-19. Through all of our missions, we have the singular goal to keep the vital, unifying businesses of the Bay Area afloat.

Keeping informed
Fears surrounding everything from “cleanliness” to safety will make the transition to public interaction very difficult for many businesses. Clientele that once existed may no long be able or willing to patronize some businesses, and still others may be the victims of discrimination and undue prejudices. Our primary campaign, as the shelter-in-place rolls back, will be to collect data from a broad range of people regarding how the pandemic has changed their daily habits, views and inhibitions about community gatherings, interactions and commerce.
Dispelling myths
We will work to help organize events, marketing campaigns and other initiatives to help show our fellow community members that there is no shame of stigma in patronizing businesses after these unprecedented times. The BAE initiative hopes to collect and organize enough businesses together in the hopes of creating a broad marketing platform, fundraisers and other measures aimed at repairing the image of small businesses after the shelter-in-place.
Staying afloat
In the long term, we hope to host and organize more events — with the help of local businesses and other organizations — in order to break down community barriers and reunite people with good food, interaction and goodwill. Through different events and fundraisers, we will ultimately be donating money to as many worthy small businesses as we possibly can.
